Becoming an consultant: Muna Ahmed

Muna Ahmed Mohamed, ServiceNow Specialist, began her career as an audiologist in healthcare. It wasn’t until her maternity leave with her second child that she felt a shift. She realized her curiosity for technology could no longer be ignored.

A bootcamp program at Academic Work became the turning point for Muna. Here, she encountered ServiceNow for the first time and found a platform that matched her analytical approach. “The platform’s structure and logic fit perfectly with my mindset. It quickly made me want more,” she explains.

At the same time, she discovered how much her previous experience could be applied in this new field. The ability to listen and analyze complex needs followed her from the clinic to the coding environment. This became clear when she was given responsibility for both operations and development at an international company, and later as Stream Lead on her first major implementation project. The growing responsibility energized her and confirmed she had made the right choice.

Today, Muna thrives on building automations and workflows that connect business and IT. She holds on to her core motivation: “What drives me is the interplay between people and technology, and being able to translate needs into solutions that make a real difference.”

The most important lesson on her journey has been about collaboration. “You don’t have to know everything yourself. When we lift each other up, it makes all the difference,” Muna concludes.
